Exe LockDown protects your PC by acting as an executable white-list filter. It attaches to the operating system and filters all executable files, be it .EXE, .COM, .DLL, .DRV, .SYS, and .DPL from all drives and all network shares against a list of files or paths, you, the administrator provide as trusted applications. If a prohibited executable (one not in the allow list or one explicitly defined in the deny list) is loaded, a customizable pop-up box shows up. Exe Lockdown hooks into the Windows OS routines for creating a process and loading it into memory. If the OS attempts to load any type of compiled code into memory ready to execute as a process or thread, Exe Lockdown jumps in and prevents the code from being loaded into memory. Therefore, Exe Lockdown doesn't rely on the file extension and can not be fooled by mischievous users and hackers who may attempt to mask file(s). Stop Spyware, Viruses, and Keyloggers in their tracks...
